MPOX is an STI (sexually transmitted infection) that is again on the rise in the US. MPOX can cause a painful rash, and is spread to others by sexual contact.
Most at risk are people who sleep with gay men, or MSM (men who have sex with men). That can mean anyone: transgender men, transgender women, non-binary people, or women who sleep with gay or bisexual men.
But MPOX can be prevented with 2 doses of a vaccine!
The Merced County Department of Public Health has the MPOX vaccine in stock. Make an appointment today by calling (209) 381-1023.
Student Health Services at UC Merced also has access to the vaccine for students of UC Merced.
Keep yourself and your community safe by doing the responsible thing, and getting vaccinated!
